From the bride:
"We didn't know this at the time, but we actually met when we were very little tikes. All along, we thought we met when he was a senior in high school and me a sophomore. He had transferred to my brother Billy's private school, joined his basketball team, and they quickly became friends. I played basketball at another high school, but since I was my brother's biggest fan, I would leave right after my game and rush over to his. Naturally, I started seeing him around all of the time--my house, basketball games, etc. We started "dating" behind my brother's back, but it didn't last long, as he left for school and my interest moved on to other boys, friends and sports. I saw him every now and then over the next couple of years, but then it stopped as I left for college.
We didn't keep in touch for about 7 years, and then we reconnected. He asked me to meet and "catch up," which was followed by a "can I see you tomorrow?" Catch up lead to a second date, which lead to 2.5 years, which lead to engagement. During our engagement, as we were looking through old photos of my family, we found a picture from my brother's 7th or 8th birthday party at our house. Who was in that picture? My husband-to-be, Matt! And the rest, as they say, is history."
